Sidney M. Morris- Of Counsel

Sidney M. Morris received his B.A. from the University of Louisville in 1967 and J.D. from the University of Kentucky in 1970. Mr. Morris was a member of the Order of Coif and Notes Editor of the Kentucky Law Journal, 1969-1970. Mr. Morris served in the United States Navy from 1970  to  1974. He was the Staff Judge Advocate at the Naval Postgraduate School from 1972 to 1974. He associated with the law firm of Millard, Tourangeau, Byers & Fisher (later Heisinger Buck & Morris) in 1974, in Carmel, California. He taught Wills and Trusts at the Monterey College of Law from 1982 to 2006 and is a member of the Monterey County and Kentucky Bar Associations and the State Bar of California. Mr. Morris is a Certified Specialist, Estate Planning, Trust and Probate Law, The State Bar of California Board of Legal Specialization. Mr. Morris specializes in Trust Law; Probate; and Estate Planning and has been selected as one of Northern California's Super Lawyers by Super Lawyers Magazine.

 

Mr. Morris' civic activities include: serving as President, Carmel Kiwanis Club; Carmel Rotary; President, FOCUS; Carmel Red Cross, board member and legal advisor for 20 years; board member of the Hospice Foundation; legal advisor to Community Foundation for Monterey County; board member of the Junior Golf Association; board member and legal advisor to the Carmel Foundation; legal advisor to the Bach Foundation; and legal advisor to the Monterey Museum of Art.

Following the merger of Heisinger, Buck and Morris into Walker and Reed, P.C. , Sidney Morris is now Of Counsel to the Firm.
